I think it holds a lot of good advice so I thought I'd share it with everyone. Enjoy:

ONE. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

TWO. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.

THREE. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.

FOUR. When you say, 'I love you,' mean it.

FIVE. When you say, 'I'm sorry,' look the person in the eye.

SIX. Be engaged at least six months before you get married.

SEVEN. Believe in love at first sight.

EIGHT. Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much.

NINE. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.

TEN. In disagreements, fight fairly.. No name calling.

ELEVEN. Don't judge people by their relatives.

TWELVE. Talk slowly but think quickly.

THIRTEEN. When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, 'Why do you want to know?'

FOURTEEN. Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

FIFTEEN. Say 'bless you' when you hear someone sneeze.

SIXTEEN. When you lose, don't lose the lesson.

SEVENTEEN. Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.

EIGHTEEN. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

NINETEEN. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

TWENTY. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.

TWENTY- ONE. Spend some time alone.

(I'm a little iffy on #6 as my hubby and I only dated for 4 months before getting married. This past March, we celebrated our 17th anniversary!)

FEAR vs Action

The other day I was reading an excerpt from the book Real Life: Preparing for the 7 Worst Days of Your Life, by Dr. Phil. This particular excerpt pertained to FEAR. A few things hit me as they pretty much described ME about a year ago...

1. "...you will settle for what you don't want instead of pushing for what you do want because you are afraid you might not get it and are scared of how much that would hurt."

2. "...you are afraid that if you don't settle for a "bird in the hand" you will never get the two in the bush."

3. "...you will tell yourself no over and over again because you don't want to face the fear associated with taking a risk...".

So, I have come to the conclusion that FEAR sucks. FEAR stops you from following your dreams. FEAR stops you from reaching your full potential. FEAR keeps you at "doing just enough".

If FEAR has a hold on you, you need to take a stand! Face your fears. Don't let fear keep you from the success that you know you are.

You see, when you are actively pursuing what it is you want for your life, there is no longer a place for fear.

So, I wish you much success in whatever you choose to do in your life and remember, fear only has control over you if you let it.
